Choices that matter: Evolution of iJACK launches with impact first.

We have always believed that the most important question in media is not just whether a campaign performs, but what the real impact is. Today, we take the next step with a significant evolution of our Campaign Impact solution inside iJACK.

From this month, iJACK delivers end-to-end carbon measurement across campaigns: tracking footprint at the media insertion level, translating numbers into real-world equivalencies that clients can actually feel, and - for the first time - forecasting future impact based on media planning so that sustainable choices can be made before budgets are committed, not after they are spent.
The new Carbon Calculator sits at the heart of the update. Every campaign receives a Total Campaign Carbon Footprint score expressed in kgCO₂e, broken down by media type and platform, with an indicative offset cost calculated against accredited CO₂balance rates. Alongside the raw data, iJACK surfaces equivalencies such kilometres driven by a petrol car, flight fractions, hours of LED bulb energy, all so that abstract tonnage becomes a concrete conversation.
Scope 3 emissions, handled at source
At JACK RYAN, we have always long held that accurate carbon accounting must go further than the server room. Our digital media is served exclusively from renewable energy-powered data centres where possible. But the energy a person uses to charge their phone in order to actually see an ad; what is classified as Scope 3 user emissions, calculated from file size and the lumens intensity of the creative, has historically been overlooked by the industry.
Those emissions are now measured, tracked, and offset through accredited standards within iJACK. It is, we believe, the only truly complete view of a campaign's carbon cost available to a media agency today.

Independent calculators across major platforms
The Campaign Impact solution also extends to sustainable media strategy, with independent calculators integrated across most major platforms and media owners. Clients can compare the carbon cost of channel decisions, not just CPM or reach, before a single penny is placed. Strategy and sustainability are no longer separate conversations.
Our commitment, in context
ISO 14001 accredited - Certified environmental management system which is independently audited.
Climate Pledge Signatory - One of the first 300 global companies to sign.
Certified B Corp - Ensuring we are meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance.
These accreditations are not wallpaper. They are the framework within which our iJACK system was built and the standard against which we hold ourselves accountable. When we say carbon measurement, we mean measurement that would survive independent scrutiny from any of the bodies above and has passed independent audit.
What comes next
The launch of carbon forecasting in iJACK is the beginning of a longer roadmap and built on our long standard carbon impact reports we develop for every campaign. We are developing deeper integration with media owner sustainability data, expanding the real-world equivalency library, and working toward client-level sustainability reporting that can sit alongside campaign performance dashboards.
The goal is simple: every brand should be able to say, with confidence and evidence, that their media choices are the right ones, both for their brand, and for the world.
